Biography

Sven is a Principal Security Consultant at Crayon Austria, where he leads the professional services for Microsoft Cloud Security. His team specializes in Purview, Sentinel and the Defender Suite across M365 and Azure.

He also has extensive experience in offensive security engagements (penetration testing) and application security, especially in helping software development teams for mobile and web applications build robust security into their CI/CD pipelines from the start.

Sven has been involved with the Open Worldwide Application Security Project (OWASP) since 2016, both in and outside of work. As a co-project lead and author, he has made significant contributions to the OWASP Mobile Application Security Testing Guide (MASTG) and the OWASP Mobile Application Security Verification Standard (MASVS) which are both considered the industry standard for mobile application security.

Sven is a frequent speaker and trainer around the world. His audiences range from software developers to students and penetration testers. His engagements often take him to conferences, forums and educational institutions, where he shares his extensive knowledge and insights on mobile and application security.
